You can upgrade your iCloud storage from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC, and you can choose a total of 50 GB, 200 GB, or 1 TB. After you upgrade, we’ll bill you monthly.See the monthly pricing per country below.

If you purchased a monthly plan before September 16, 2015, your account was upgraded automatically. If you’re currently on an annual plan, you’ll continue to renew annually at that rate. If you select a new monthly plan, your annual plan won’t be available to you.

Seagate launches 8TB enterprise hard drives





Seagate is unveiling a whole family of 8-terabyte hard disk drives for enterprise applications. The new drives will address markets such as enterprise computers, network-attached storage, and “kinetic hard disk drives.”

The aim is to lower the total cost of ownership for storage in a variety of markets. The Cupertino, Calif.-based storage giant is targeting everyone from small businesses to large enterprises with the portfolio of 8TB drives.

WD My Cloud Gets Bump To OS 3; New Hardware, Too



WD, or Western Digital company, announced future availability of My Cloud OS 3. The new operating system supports the 1.6 million My Cloud units already sold and will ship on a new My Cloud product introduced today.

WD’s My Cloud Mirror is available for preorder today with e-tailers and retailers expecting delivery around September 20. The new Mirror model uses two drives in redundant RAID to maximize data protection. The second-generation model ships with an updated processor and increased memory capacity. Western Digital told us that the new Gen 2 models will increase performance up to 2x.

Nest — the biggest name in the nascent smart home industry and a division of Alphabet, Google’s new corporate structure — is finally upgrading the hardware for its “Learning Thermostat.” On Tuesday, the Palo Alto, Calif.-based business announced the third generation version of its Internet-connected thermostat, which markets itself as being able to learn a user’s temperature preferences and living patterns in order to keep them comfortable while also saving them money on their energy bill.
