Members of Pa. anti-violence group allegedly assault one of their own in brutal beat-down
One of the assault suspects was reportedly still wearing the same “Stop the Violence” T-shirt that she had on the night before when she led a march protesting two recent shootings in Washington, Pa.
Now, however, Nikole Ardeno, along with Emanuel Velez, both 30, were jailed for allegedly beating a former roommate and fellow member of the group over a reported property dispute,the Associated Press writes.
The two are accused of allegedly jumping the man as he was walking down the street on Tuesday. Police say the defendants kicked the victim until he was unconscious, causing him to have seizures and vomit blood, the AP wrote.
Police Chief Chris Luppino told AP that Ardeno was still wearing the same “Stop the Violence” T-shirt that she had on the night before when she led a march in the city protesting two recent shootings. Police say Ardeno, Velez, and the victim, are all members of the group.
The victim remains in critical condition, AP reported.
